How color analysis works
Color analysts describe anyone's coloring along three dimensions, the same three that describe any color:
- Undertone (hue): whether your skin leans warm and golden or cool and rosy. It sets your family: Spring and Autumn are warm, Summer and Winter are cool.
- Value: how light or deep your hair, eyes and skin are together.
- Chroma: how clear and bright, or soft and muted, your features read side by side.
Your strongest trait splits your family three ways, which gives the 12 seasons below. Colors that share your traits make your skin look clear and your eyes bright; colors that fight them bring out shadows and make you look tired.
